Description: First raised in the late 1700's in Sussex, this became a favourite 'Victorian exhibition variety, much sought-after for its handsome fruit and excellent keeping qualities. Large bright green-yellow oblong fruit, which cook to slightly acidic puree. Good yields, but thin fruit every June to avoid biennial cropping.
